tub/cage size
Hi, My Hypo Female Boa has been growing like a weed. I have her in a cb70 tub which I believe is a 42qt tub.
My question is, as long as I can fit two hides in there along with her water bowl - can she stay in this until I can scrape together the money for a 4ft cage. She seems perfectly content and has large hides from RBI and is able to thermoregulate fine.
I know the time to switch her is fast approaching - but wanted to see what you all thought about it. By the way, she is over 1,700 grams right now.
Thanks.

Re: tub/cage size
Well, it's been a month since I posted this caging question and not one person felt compelled to offer any insight. Just reinforces my impression that this forum is very clickish - if you are not part of the "in crowd" then your post get no help/attention.
Luckily I was able to get help/advice from another source and have since moved my boa to a 4ft AP Cage
I've been on this forum for about 4 years but always hesitate to post stuff because you very seldom see many responses.
Just my thoughts!!!

Wow, this sight isn't "clickish". It's very helpful. And whenever people can, they help. Your post probably got lost quick on a busy day. While their are boa people on here, not everyone has one. So if no boa people got on, and your post got buried under others, would seem a much more likely scenario. You will notice that now you thread is being kept active, people are responding. Sorry you feel that way, and glad you got your baby into new enclosure.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions!
The forum is here to share experiences and ask for advice.
I personally have not seen this thread until today and I come to this site daily.
And as this is primarily a Ball Python forum, it could be that some people don't really know the housing requirements of a boa. I know I don't.
It's good to hear that your snake is adjusting well to the new enclosure!

Re: tub/cage size
This is the first time I've seen this thread. I couldn't have answered your question as I'm just getting into boas again. I had some years ago but I didn't exactly do my home work then. I have posted some questions in other parts of this forum and felt like people weren't very helpful at times. However in the bp threads there never seems to be a shortage of advice or opinions. I've noticed this even in person at reptile expos. Bp people seem way more talkative and willing to share info than the average boa/larger python person. Glad to hear your baby is doing well. And please don't be discouraged. This is a great forum.

Maybe if you posted some pictures we would have responded :p. Kidding of course. Saw your thread before, was hoping someone would have chimed in as I was curious as to what your solution is/was. With only one yearling boa, I dont have the necessary experience to provide you the insight you wanted. Hope you don't feel too bad about this forum. Like others have said, your thread was probably just pushed to the bottom of the thread list before anyway could respond.
