Novel in progress ^-^
I'm writing an fantasy novel series that will be seven books long and I hope that It will be published and make lots of sales (: Its a really wonderful story that I want to show everybody. It has awesome an plot line, character development, life lessons, and more. I first started the idea when I was sitting in my room at age seven just drawing and somehow I came up with the magical world. And I went a little out of hand with it as well. I started adding history to it, land features, what the weather is like, characters, thier history, the many types of magic, and just alot of stuff. And All of this characters and world building kept on going until I was 13. That was when I started writing about this world and the adventers this one character has. And After several re drafts I fianlly got a good start on this novel. I'm already natrually talented in writing, and infact write close to a college level (according to my dad which has a phd level in writing). its an epic/gory/magical/tragic/emotional/adventurous/mysterious/heart throbbing story that I just want everybody to read. Infact you can read the first chapter HERE! If you want to read more them just tell me But be warned that its just mildly edited.
If there were music to go with this story, I would have to choose thses epic songs (what I and alot of other people call real music)

Anyways thses songs would just fit PERFECTLY in some scenes in my story. And theres way much more where that came from....Oh much much more.
And if you want to know I'm eight chapters in and 19,300 words (:

As a published author myself, I have a couple of tips for you:
- first, please be careful about posting your writing on the internet. If you post too much of your novel (and I see you only have the first chapter up, but for reference), it becomes virtually unpublishable due to first rights being used up.
- it definitely needs to be edited more, or at the very least run through a spell checker. You especially have a problem with homonyms. When you're showing off work to others, it's really best if you make sure it's fully polished. Work published on the internet can follow you around for years, so you want to make sure you're always giving it your best.
- I see that you're fourteen and I'm really happy to see that you're so passionate about writing! But -- and this is just my honest opinion, please don't be offended -- I think you need to reign in the ego a little. You still have a lot of improvement to get through before you're at the publishing level, or even at a college level.
If ever you'd like me to give your first page a serious edit, I'd be happy to. Just say the word

Yah I'm focusing more on the writing part of it than fully editing what I have so far. Now I did quickly go through there and fix any typos and that stuff, but not anything serious until I get halfway done. I do know that people can steal your work when you post something online, but thats why I post stuff that isnt fully edited (and why I say that its not as well). And I would love for you to edit my first page, it would be much helpful since my dad said he would edit my work, but he's a teacher and doesnt have the time do it. (: Thanks!

A lot of great writer's have done very well, keep at it. Who knows, maybe down the road you either shorten the story, or finish off with a part.1 and part.2 which movies seem to love now. As for the tips, ^^^ is correct, don't publish or even mention where it is going on here. You'd totally regret it.

I'm 14 and I'll turn 15 next year, and hopefully I will finish the first one before the end of my sophmore year. But I've been very busy with my sports (volleyball and horse back riding) that I dont think I'll have alot of time to write this year... And the fact that I'm in all Pre-ap >.< I'm looking forward to a very busy school year.

Im not trying to discourage you from writing but i would suggest you focus on classes and sports before writing. They will get you into a college you like where you can major in english if you want and do ALOT of writing then haha. Once again, theyre your priorites and im not trying to tell you what to do, but just making a suggestion from a been there, done that point of view.

Yah I know, but the good thing is that our High School is on a block schedule, so its two core classes that are 90 minutes, and two electives that are as well 90 minutes. Also we get out at around 3:50 or something like that. I hope that our teachers will let us do our homeowrk in class x) But since I am trying to go into Texas A&M to be a vet, I have to focus on school work more than ever.

Not to be discouraging... but when a young writer starts out with how "naturally talented" they are and how they already know everything about writing (I'm at college level), it automatically alerts me to the idea that they don't want to hear any constructive criticisms, and refuse to think they might need to improve. Just going on what your original post states.
If you want to be a serious writer, rein the ego in, settle down to think through your writing and plans first and swallow the pride thing and find help. You need a beta reader who will pick your work apart, point out everything that is wrong with it, suggest alternates and even rip apart plots and story bases. Not a friend who will squeal "I LOVE IT UR SO GREAT" or try to get you to put them into the story as your best friend character. Not a proud dad who will praise you because you are, of course, his beloved child and he's happy to see you pursuing an interest.
When someone does offer criticisms, don't feel slighted or offended... think about what they're saying, how it would improve what you've written and then decide whether to use it or not use it. Sometimes things you write will not follow the basic rules of writing(English writing 101 has a LOT of rules that are not followed by popular writers). That might be okay for your writing. It's called "style". Sometimes someone might pick apart a section you love, saying it doesn't make any sense. Even if YOU think it makes perfect sense, you always have to credit a reader more than yourself in that instance. You know all the background and setting inside your head. The reader only can judge what's on the page. So if they say "It doesn't make sense, it's confusing" pay attention and find out why and what and where and fix it.
At times I've written a few thousand words per night, on top of work and caring for critters etc etc. If you have a deep desire to write, you'll find time to do it around your schedule. If it's a mild hobby then you can always fit it in whenever you feel like it. After all, words stored on a computer don't spoil or go bad or get stale. You can store a piece of writing and come back to it a year later and it's still going to be sitting there.
Good luck with your schooling and writing.

Yep I've always looks at hard criticisms, even if it isnt directed toward me, I've always took it in because who know what will happen in the future. I also have two or mroe of my friends read a chapter and tell me what they think and if they get any emotion out of it, even though I try hard to get that out first. Thanks guys!
