Re: Scale rot or something else?!?!?!?
Yeah I just realized what I said and edited my post I have a dimmer on the way to regulate the uth (will that work) and I'm soon to buy thermometers. What should I get? I had the tank set up pretty well until our a/c went out and the room I house my snakes in was about 105. Oklahoma -.-

A dimmer is okay temporarily but you will really need a thermostat.
Go to walmart and get the accurite indoor/outdoor thermometer and hygrometer its only like.12 bucks.
And theres.the hydrofarm thermostat on amazon for about 30.

A dimmer will have to be closely monitored and adjysted. A thermostat is more reliable.

Re: Scale rot or something else?!?!?!?
I'll stop by walmart on my way to get some fuzzies tomorrow we'll later today. Did you look at the picture? Any idea what it could be, I thought something may have gotten stuck between scales or something but not sure. will it go away after a few sheds? Is it serious? And should I put some reptile vitamins or calcium on the mice?
-
-
Bps dont really benefit from vitamins. I saw the pic ot liiks like he got his scale damaged. It should heal with the next few sheds. If it gets worse go to the vet.
My bp has some raised rough scales on his belly from his previous owner having jagged rocks in his tank.
I think it should heal fine after a few sheds once you have all your temps proper and such

Yeah, ball pythons are pretty terrible climbers. I don't offer my ball pythons anything to climb on for this reason. They are quite clumsy! Generally they don't climb much at all. Excessive climbing and slithering around can actually be an indication of stress.
