just a little advice, you might want to move the light over to the extreme right of the tank and cover the left (helps with humidity)

Oh yeah and welcome to the addiction

Many people especially pet store employees say that you should feed outside of the snakes cage, but almost all of the experienced members on this site and all of the big BP breeders feed them in their cages.

    Think of it this way:

To feed a snake in their cage doesn't require you to come into contact with them at all... but to put into and take out of a separate container does.

A BP can tell the difference between a rodent and your hand... they use smell, heat vision, and sight to identify potential prey. As long as your hand doesn't look, smell and have the same thermal signature as a rat (which it won't) a BP isn't going to mistake you for food. This isn't to say that you will never get bit, but if you do 99% of the time the snake wasn't intending on eating you.

    Aaron is awesome

And if you think about it, you're more likely to get bit when feeding outside of his enclosure

I was told to feed my first bp in a separate container. I found this site (am on daily ahaha) and have been feeding in his enclosure since. Big guy has NEVER bit me.

X2 feed in the cage all my picky eaters have been pigs since I started feeding in the cage. I will also say the only time I have been bitten is was my fault no AGGRESION so I would not worry about that
