golfball like dimpeling

I had the eggs out for a second because I wanted to put some more water in the tub. I noticed that the eggs had a bunch of small dimples almost like a goldball. Is that normal?

Should be ok they are never perfect. How many days have they been incubating for? Pics would also help

Ill try to get a pic. I didnt have my phone and didnt want to leave em out of the incubator any longer then I had to. They were layed on the 6th. This is my first clutch so I didnt know if I was worried for nothing.

Yikes only 5 days that could be a problem. I take it the substrate is a bit dry hence the reason you were adding water?

I haven't started breeding yet but what I've read put a damp paper towel over them for a bit. Also If the container you are using isn't air tight use some press and seal over the top then put the lid over that. If I am wrong someone please correct me. Best of luck either way!

I added the water just because the substrate had soaked up the excess water and wanted to top it off. Heres the pic. Not the best but you get the idea.

They look good the substrate is nice and wet. You could use some press and seal to keep the humidity up inside the tub. I use 6qt sterilite tubs and have the same setup with no holes and no press and seal. The eggs do just fine.

I would let them be for a few days and then check on them again.

I was always told not to use press n seal on the substrateless method. As long as they look good thats all I was worried about
