couple egg questions
So I wanted to know a few things. Im doing the substrateless method with egg crates. How often should I open the incubator to check? I do have a glass front wine fridge that I converted so I can look in that way most times. Also my incubator is sitting at 91 degrees. The inside of the tub is about a half degree lower. Should I drop it a hair or will I be ok? Lastly will I need to add water at any point or should I be ok or should I add some water in a bowl at the bottom of the incubator?

You can put water bottles in to help with humidity.
Also don't check on the too much. Leave them be as much as possible.
90 is perfectly OK for them to incubate at. I keep mine between 89-90.
And as far as adding water, add accordingly to what you feel is necessary.
Do u have a thermometer and hygrometer in with the eggs to get an accurate reading AT the eggs? That way you know if the humidity and temperature are correct and where you want them. Thats what I do. Just a thought.

I use locking lid tubs, add perilite, egg crate, fill with water until the water almost touches the egg crate, add eggs and place in the incubator.
My tubs have 4 tiny ventilation holes and I have yet to need to add water to a tub.
With ventilation holes you also do not need to take a lid off to ventilate, not even at the end of incubating.
I would drop the temps down until you read between 88 and 89 inside the tubs.
The incubator does not hold humidity, the tubs do, no water is needed inside the incubator unless it's in water bottles.
Water bottles help hold the incubator temps more stable, a must have imo.

I have several water bottels to help hold the temps. Im using 6qt sterilite tubs so Im not to worried about the ventalition. Im just wondering about the temps and water. I dont have ant thermomaters in there as I found the ones I have suck

I don't own a hygrometer but you can bet I have multiple thermometers in my inc, I trust my herpstat but it only reads temps in one place.
If you are using 6qt pop top sterilte tubs those are more than ventilated, they flat our lose all humidity without using seal a meal, at least that was my experience with thos cheapo tubs.
We use 7qt locking lid sterilites, like this one...

I don't use vermiculite anymore and that incubator has been "remodeled" lol, but those are the best tubs imo, but like most things sterilite they quit making that tub and are now putting out 6qt locking lid modular tubs.

I would drop the temps too, 88-89 seems to be the sweet spot. I use plan old $1 tubs, no vent holes, no press n seal.

I like to have more control over the ventilation of the tubs, those pop on lid tubs seem to have different sized gaps in them.
I'm sure if you keep plenty of water under the egg crate then they work just fine
