Leaving for the military and finding someone to take care of my snakes?

I'm leaving for basic in November, and was wondering if there are any programs out there that will take care of your pets for you while you're away.

And if not, if there is someone in the state of Florida willing to take care of my snakes while I'm in the Army for 4 years? I have quite a few snakes, and would be willing to pay to have someone care for them while I'm away.

So if anyone can give me any information or is in florida and willing to help me, then I would be more than willing to talk things out.

I wish you luck on that and a well written contract.
That is a trust that I would have a hard time giving to someone

There would be a lengthy contract written out, and I would allow you to breed my animals while they are in your care (and you can keep 100% of the profit). Most of my snakes are young and won't be ready to breed for 1-3 years.

I would just like a good, safe place for my snakes while I'm gone, so that I dont have to worry about them being sick, hungry, or someone keeping them on me. You can keep their babies. I would just want them back.

Just a thought, but why board them for the entire 4 years? Obviously you couldn't take them to boot camp with you, but afterward might be a possibility. If you're married or have kids, you'd likely be living off base. If you're single and in the barracks... well, my sister kept a ball python in a tub under her bed for quite a while. Not that I'm encouraging you to keep anything somewhere where it's against regulations, just sayin.

Great deal if you have the room. If I was in Florida, I'd be jumping on this. Getting paid to breed snakes? Sounds good to me.

    Best of luck btw.

Be careful how you arrange it, so many things can go wrong. Having said that, why not ship them to WA? ; ). Really, good luck on finding someone to care for your babies!

I'm in the Army as well, and fortunately I have a good woman who has helped me with my animals so far. I'm planning on heading to Florida in the near future, but not soon enough.

I hope everything works out well for you man.

We are not in Florida, but would be willing to help board the balls while you are serving our country. Wouldn't charge much, with the breeding contract in place. Would help coordinate shipping or meeting to get them. Would work well for both, as we are looking to add pieds and would return them when you come back. Let me know if any interest (PM or email: pythons@wtfmorphsofmanchester.com)
