A little gem arrived this morning via fedex. I'm excited to get back into papuans after too long without one. She's in blue at the moment but I took a quick shot anyway before setting her up in quarantine.

I love her coloration! Will she stay that soft brown or will she darken up like the big adult?
And I really like the rainbow sheen on the adult.

They change color depending on their temperature, possibly mood and who knows what other stimuli. The big girl could go from a fairly light, greenish brown(like this new girl is displaying) to the dark, almost black you see in the above pictures - pretty groovy stuff!

Hah, yep! Here's another shot of the old girl during bath time. They are highly iridescent in natural light but the flash of a camera can capture it too.
