Whats going on here??
I know this is the world wide web and everyone and their brother has a right to be here and there.
I also know I am not an old member here OR a new one for that.
I see so many responses that in most face to face debates would get a fist in the mouth.
What happened to some type of respect for the elders?
I dont mean the old people as in age but the ones that have paved and are still paving the way for us young bucks?
I have learned a lot in my short time here and for that I want to thank you all.
I know there are a bunch of people that just regurgitate what they have seen posted.
Then there are those that will try something off the wall because it might work and we know our animals dont live in a perfect enviroment in the wild.
This site holds more knowledge than you can find anywhere else in the world.
I guess the point to my rant and ramble is:
Show a little respect to those that came before you BEFORE you open your mouth or let your fingers type

Unfortunately, people don't always think when they type on the internet or send a text for that matter. Because it's not face to face, they forget it's a human being on the other end of the line. They also forget that a lack of proper grammar and punctuation can change the whole meaning of things. Seen plenty of that too...

You dont tell me!
Hahaha jk, i agree. Sometimes ill post a response and i really dont know. But if someone with more experience comments im almost always willing to shutup and learn. As far as the regurgitating info i dont see that AS much of a problem. Like ive never had a snake get an RI so no i dont have experience with it but ive read what to do, so i would feel comfortable regurgitating that to a newbie.
EDIT: Well Pit youre from Texas so doesnt every argument between cowboys end in a fistfight or shootout outside the General Store?

I sure hope I have not come across disrespectful toward anyone on here. I am one of those types that says what comes to mind a lot but on a forum that I am particularly new to I try to keep it in check. As for regurge on the facts I am still fairly inexperienced with BPs and I did a lot of lurking for the first month or 2 that I joined and now if I feel comfortable I will relay the knowledge I have gained from reading other posts. But I have to agree that some of the people's responses on here are a bit rude. But it is hard to interpret the tone of a post on the forums...

I spend too much time in BP Pictures and the Off Topic Cafe to really see any of the stuff you mentioned .
Every now and then, I'll check on the husbandry and general BP forum to see if anyone had any questions that I might be able to answer, or if there's a weird issue that I've never seen before, and would like to learn about. When I regurge, I make sure to point out that the information I'm giving is something I read here, or have seen/heard in a youtube video. I enjoying answering questions with information I learned through personal experience. That's the most rewarding! That's why we learn right? To spread the knowledge !
I have a great respect for the veterans here who seem to enjoy going out of their way to make sure they answer first. It's funny to see people competing to answer somebody first! Makes me feel good knowing that I'm part of a community where everyone REALLY wants to help everyone else! I'm registered to a few other forums, but none of them are as active or helpful as this one.
Remember, even the vets and top posters can give some incorrect information . I see instances of this in the breeding section mostly. I've done tons of research on breeding to prep for the upcoming "season" for those who breed seasonally. I follow some of the threads that might help me in the future, but I won't go and spread that information unless I personally see that it works for me. Obviously this is mostly case by case.
