    First meal.

    Does anyone feed before the first shed?Five of my babys are out just fine eggshell empty but my last baby ball out all on his own still had a good amount of yoke left weight is 21g and i have him on damp paper towels.thanks

    I think most people offer after they shed. Until then theyre still absorbing their yolks or have some left in them. This is just what ive read and what i plan to do.

    21g is tiny! How long has he been out of his egg? Have you noticed a reduction in the size of the yolk sac in the last 24-48 hours? If not, it might be time to tie off and remove the yolk sac and offer him food (might not be absorbing like he needs to).

    Sometime during the night he must have separated from his yoke.he did look a little dehydrated but not anymore sense i put he on the damp paper towels..He is not as active as the other babies.thanks
