    They are awesome cages.

If you have a cold room, flexwatt will not be enough to keep ball pythons warm and happy however.

The T8 is recommended for adult balls. If your room is too cold for flexwatt alone, you can purchase the add on radiant heat panels.

my thermostat for my house is set at 76 sometimes i drop it to 74 but never below that what do you consider a cold room? what temps should i expect to see if my house is 74/76 all the time do you think it will be warm enough to get the desired temps i need with just the flexwatt.

Why go with a T8? The spec of the T3 are about the same as a 41q sterlite tub. Just wanting to know for my own reference.

I'm curious why T8 is recommended instead of T3 as well.

Also, 05kas05, you can get some good RHPs from RBI (Reptile Basics, Inc.) The 40 watt size should be good for a T3. At least, that's what the people at RBI told me

well im sure someone will explain why the t8 is recommended over the t3 in due time, here is a pic of my ball and the enclosure its in now, it is just a 20 gallon long with the sides, top, and bottom blacked out with foam board for a little insulation. the temps and humidity look to spot on at 80 on the cool side 90 on the hot and the humidity is a little high at the moment because i spilled a little water when filling the bowl.

i'm still considering getting the t3's as they will work better in the space i have and they are no smaller from what i have read than the tubs most people say they use for their adult female ball pythons. so as long as i can achieve the same temps with just the flexwatt and a herpstat 2 i should be good to go.but i am still waiting for more thoughts and opinions before i make a definitive decision.

The pic below was pulled from another thread on here. This is what makes me think the T3 will work. My cages are 34 1/2" L x 14 1/4" W x 17" H and I am hoping that I will not have to purchase any more.

that looks to be about the same info i have heard and read regarding cage size so im going to go with the t3 as far as size goes now if i could just find someone who has the t3's so i can get an idea of what their temps are with just the flexwatt installed it would be great.
