    newbie questions...

I have done some reading up on what will happen if I breed my male albino ball python with my new pastel female. Any ideas? From what I read, I *think* I will or should come out with 2 Albinos and 2 Pastels? Did I misinterperet my readings? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Breeding an albino to a pastel would produce some pastels, some normals, all of them 100% het for albino. No visual albinos.

Albino is a recessive gene. So unless the pairing is albinoxalbino het albinoxalbino or het albinoxalbino, you will not have visual albinos.

So a pastelxalbino would leave you with no visual albino babies.

There's a genetics calculator on World of Ball Pythons. Most of us use it to determine the outcomes for pairings. You CAN do it on paper, but this is easier
