How do you candle eggs and what are you looking for?
So I have only had one clutch before the one I found this morning and I didn't do all the specific things with my first clutch. I kinda just put them in the incubator and waited to see what happened. But with this second clutch I wanted to candle the eggs but I'm not very sure how to do that. Anyone willing to help a new breeder out?

dark room, take a flash light put on egg, watch it light up, just like putting your thumb on the end of a flash light.. you should be able to see veins going across the egg.

take a bright flashlight and hold it against the egg on the opsite side of the egg facing yourself. u are looking for blood veins. that means you should have a healthy fertile egg.

Take your eggs out when dark of go in a dark room, and use a small LED flashlight (they work great for egg)
What you are looking for are good healthy veins like this

Hey so where do you find the material that separates the eggs from the substrate? And also my female has one egg inside her that she can't get out, do I need to help her or will she push it out eventually?
