Options?
So I have a few options to breed my normal female to for my first time ever. A super stripe, champagne, or a lesser. I want opinions on what you all would do. I was leaning towards champagne because they look amazing.

Breed what you like, not what others like. I wouldn't breed champagne myself, because I don't care for them, for example. But you do. That's what matters in the end.

I'm just confused. Lol I like the lesser, but the super stripe will only produce yellow belly and spectors. I think I might just get a few more females and breed them all

choice is up to you and what you like, and can afford. I could go out and buy a couple expensive snakes, but I think the fun in this hobby is producing your own. I'm really into a few things. I don't mind messy dirty patterns, but I'm really into faded colours too. I love pieds, so I'm trying to produce my own. It's really on where you want to take it.

Maybe you should try it with just one initially and see how that goes. Make sure you can properly care for the female and her eggs for the duration of incubation, get the hatchlings started feeding and placed in homes or take care of them if you're not able to place them. Take it slow and get a feel for things and what all goes into the care and keeping of babies before you jump into the deep end of the pool and possibly get in over your head. I don't know your experience level but based off what you asked, were it me, I'd recommend waiting and just try with the single female prior to getting more involved.

I have a decent amount of experience, and I've had snakes for years. Luckily I have a few friends that breed that are teaching me so much. I think I'll stick with this one female like you said. And work from there. Thanks for the input!

Right on. Like I said, wasn't trying to be presumptuous or anything, just throwing it out there. I tend to be cautious on those things, especially with living/breathing animals. I have several females that are breeding age/weight for this coming season but given that it'll be my first shot at pairing/breeding snakes, I'm only going to pair one of the females. Ease into things with just the single girl and see how it goes from there and hopefully jump in with both feet next year, lol! Good luck to you and would love to see what you end up pairing her with/produce from that pairing. Take care!

It sounds like a great idea! I hope all goes well with your breeding. What are you pairing with? I'll just keep buying supplies and save up for a bigger rack then start my collection . Thanks for the great advice! I appreciate it

Nothing too impressive: my vanilla mojave male to a normal female is all. If my opinion can count as advice, I might need to look into a career change and start charging, lol! Good luck with stuff and I'd be interested to see how it turns out for you with whatever pairing you pick. Have you guys agreed on terms and all that? Will you be getting any of the babies or have you discussed that at all? I like the mimosas (champagne x orange ghost) but superstripes are pretty sweet animals too; you really can't go wrong with any of those pairings. I personally like BEL complex stuff (butters, mojaves, crystals, specials, lessers, etc.) but I'd also like to get a champagne either as a single or multi-gene animal at some point in the future. Good luck to ya', whatever you pick.

What I think? Cycle all of the males through her a few times throughout the season. Nothing will be more exciting you first time hatching than having absolutely no idea what will come out (This might also give you a good lesson in identifying your babies' morphs.) And since you are just testing the waters of breeding I suppose it doesn't much matter what babies you'll get (and any healthy hatchlings at all will be more than exciting). Just MHO... This is what I am doing (my first season as well) with a pastel and cinny male to a normal female until I get my female bee and blast up to weight next season. Just like others have stated it is all about what you want to produce and not what others want. I love pastel and super pastel combos even though the market is flooded.
