    What do you think?

I recently picked up a het albino pos het anery male. And now I found someone selling a female motley for 250. I'm really thinking I should jump on it for a future breeding project. They are both really young so it will be a while before I am able to breed.

I don't really know how much female motleys usually go for so let me know what you all think.

    Thanks!

Most of the Motleys I've seen are selling for about $200+shipping. So if you are getting it locally it will probably work out to be about the same.

Personally I wouldn't jump on a Motley female for a breeding project with your male. It would be a very long term project to get any albino motleys from the pairing and a long shot if you eventually hit on a snow motley. I would probably save up and get a motley het albino or depending on how much you are willing to invest an albino motley het anery, or a motley double het female. There are a lot of projects you could work on with your male. A hypo het albino female might be worth looking into as well to produce sunglows. Boas take a bit longer to raise up than balls so I would make sure you have a worth while project before investing the time and money.

It's ultimately up to you what you want to do, but I think investing in a better female would be worth the money and the search.

    Re: What do you think?

I would do some more research on Motleys. If I remember correctly, Motleys have, or did have, a high mortality rate under 2 years old. If you want a Motley, perhaps look for an older one...

Ohhh wow, thank you so much. I will look into that. I decided not to purchase the one I saw and do at least a year of research before I dive into anything.
