Find a snug plastic shoebox, drill holes, put him in a pillowcase, tie the top of the pillowcase, and put it inside the shoebox, then latch it up. He'll feel the safest if he's in a somewhat tightly-fitting, dark place. Then the biggest issue would be temperature regulation in the car.

I would get a power inverter and plug a tstat with uth in while in the car because that's not a short trip.

I would try to put it on the floor behind the passenger and out of direct sunlight. That way you can keep an eye on the tstat and the snake.

Put him in a snake bag and put him in a 6qt tub with air holes. I too would put him on the floor on the passsengers side so hes outta direct sunlight but u can still keep an eye on him. Dont have him anyhere where the AC will be blowing directly on him. Take him out when u stop and let him get a drink for a few min then put him back again.
    1.0 normal bp

I have moved my snakes from KS to CO a number of times (9 hour drive) and I have put them all into one tub and taped the lid down, I've kept them in their tanks if they will fit in the vehicle, and I've put them into pillowcases and just kept them on the passenger seat next to me. You will definitely not need a heater while traveling as it is still summer and you should only take two days from FL to having them setup in OK. What is important in my opinion is to stop feeding them a couple of weeks (14-15 days) before the move so that they will have any food digested and should have pooped and will also not regurge from the stress of the move. Best of luck with it and good luck in school as well.

Yes its summer but I have A/C and use it! My house and and my truck stay cold when I'm in it, no warmer than 68. Having a tstat hooked up will only turn on if it needs to. Think of it as a safety net.

Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
