Question Small update (pictures!), and question about shedding.

    Hello everyone!

I'll start with my question first: How often should my BP shed?
We brought Isis home on July 8th, and she was just in the middle of the shedding process. Her eyes were clear, her belly was pink, and she started to actually shed her skin a few days later.

We've been successfully feeding her once a week (every Thursday), and she eats like a champ. We took her out to put her in her feeding tub today, and noticed she looked dull, and her eyes were blue. We thought this was a little bit soon, but I also read that younger snakes shed more often since they're still growing. We were told she was hatched in December of last year, so she should be around 7 months old right now. Just wanted to know if shedding this soon after the previous shed is normal.

And now, some pictures! These were all taken on last Thursday before feeding. ♥

Peeking out of her feeding tub after her meal.

    Slithering around after her meal.

Being inquisitive while we were trying to measure her.

A really dark picture of her tank. She's up there crawling on the leaves.

Still really dark, and still crawling on her leaves. I'll try to get a better picture of her setup after we're done with it.

Speaking of her setup, I have another quick question.
We're currently building a waterfall for her tank, using this video as a guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rgh9jXme6OE

We wanted to give her tank some decoration, but the main reason we wanted a waterfall in there is because we read that they can help regulate humidity. Right now we're just misting her tank down once or twice a day as needed.

We're making the reservoir large enough for her to soak in if she needs to, and will keep adding water as she drinks from there, as well as regular cleaning even though there's going to be a filter attached.

So, my question is, would the waterfall / pond be bad for her? Should we stick to just a dish?

Sorry for this long-winded post! Thanks so much in advance for any comments or answers.

    Thanks for the response!

She seems to be growing pretty quickly. She's getting adult mice at the moment. We'll be buying a scale tonight or tomorrow to figure out exactly what she should be eating.
