I grew up having all different types of animals; frogs, toads, all different types of rodents, birds, fish, lizards, ect; but I had never owned a snake bc my mom is not too fond of them. I actually, for some reason assumed that all snakes get huge and need to be upgraded in their enclosure size often, which I didn't want to deal with. I'm not at all sure where I got that idea but I had pretty much written snakes off as something I had no interest in- I wasn't afraid of them in the least, just indifferent about keeping one. Then about 2 years ago I was looking at pics of candy cane corn snakes and started researching them and quickly became obsessed with getting one. Boyfriend had never owned much of any animals aside from cats and dogs but he was interested and wanted me to get one if I wanted. We went to the Phx reptile show a couple weeks later and picked up Cthulhu, our anery motley corn. We touched a few people's balls (he he) at the expo and decided we really wanted some. Then we started researching morphs and got hooked, bought our first 2 balls at the Tucson Reptile Expo the next year.
Here's a few pics of Cthulhu cuz he's our first snake and he's super cute!!!
Tiny baby when we first got him: (Crappy cell pic)

The last pic also shows one of his smaller battle scars from when escaped his tank and got into our half-grown rat's cage, it was BAAAAD and I was positive he was going to dieThe vet said it's nothing short of miraculous that he survived it and we had to give him multiple injections a day for weeks. He's our little miracle snake
Go 'Thulhu!!!!
