Het-Pied X Het-Pied day 52 and going crazy.
So like the title says I am sitting at day 52 and the anticipation is killing me. I have 6 eggs and have candled them and 2 of the eggs I only see a pink glow from inside the egg no pattern the other four I see what appears to be normals. I think I might be cutting come day 54 just to have a peek. I have always wanted to produce my own pied. super excited OH I also hatched a clutch of blood red corns today well most of them lol some are still hiding.

If I were you, I'd wait another couple of days before cutting (after day 55). Cutting won't change what is inside the eggs but it will expose the inside of the eggs to potential problems. I know how exciting it is. Pieds are beautiful animals and I wish I had a dozen females laying pieds. Good luck and be sure to post pics of that clutch once they come out of the egg!

Just cut already!! My first het pied to het pied clutch I cut on day 50. The suspense was too much!!
I had 6 eggs in that clutch. The first 5 were normals and I was getting bummed that I might have missed the odds. Then I cut egg 6 and saw white - one of most exciting days of snake keeping ever!!!
If you can wait then wait. But if not then cut them (you could even just cut a flap to get a peek). They'll be fine.

I am pretty sure I hit at least 2 pieds when I candle them I can't see any pattern at all just a pink glow inside. I am at day 52 of incubation but I am not 100% sure how long she sat on them before I found them as I had been outta town for a few days they definitely were not fresh laid when I found them.

Wait till day 55. If one pips before then, go ahead and cut the others. My first clutch ever, I cut day 52 and one crawled out too early and ended up not making it. Now I wait til first pip or day 55 whichever comes first...

Woohoo! These are my favorite kinda threads! Het X Het and seeing folks hit the odds is so cool! I decided to give myself a better chance by just buying a pied but man I sure do like these threads! Congrats and cant wait to see them out of the egg!
