    That dixie plate is SUCH a perfect example. It gives a really strong visual for what they look like when they're not all uncoiled. My corn snake never does that, so she always appears to be her 5ft self. But a ball python, with it's thicker body, doesn't look quite so intimidating.

    Yeah, they just don't really seem as big as they are, since they are "ball" pythons. My measurement is a guess, going by how long he is on me when we are laying on the couch, and a stretches out down my legs. BTW, Congrats! Bps, way better than corns, IMO.

    These pictures are almost a year old, but they may help. These were all taken with the same candle, it's one of the large jars you find in almost any store. Only one of these is male, but I have their sizes. I imagine when you first get your BP it will be around the smallest size. Most of my males are right around 1000g.
