Any "Green" Keepers here?
Hi everyone,
This is a question for all the breeders who are using the best "green" possible way to maintain their business or hobby.
Does anyone here run their set up via solar panel, geo-thermo, rain water which is filtered (instead of city or well which is hard water), or even wind powered?
I ask this, as I was searching kijiji and came across a huge solar panel set up (1840 watts non battery) for $8500. I would love to hear from breeders that run a clean/green set up. Your experience and or suggestions.
My wife and I will be planning on moving outside the city in a few years, and I'm sure we will look into this for the future house.
Thanks to all who looked, and for any replies

A long while ago I was looking into getting solar panels to help with reptile costs (lights and heat). Was too expensive at the time, but I'll be interested in seeing replies to this and maybe going back to researching again if some good leads show up. I used to stay at a house that had solar panels set up and it was always handy during power outages as 90% of the time the place still had power, and that's up here in the rainy NW

If I were to say get more than say 50-100 bps in the next 3-5 years, I think I would look into a garage package just to house them. Maybe have the heated floors, solar panel, and wind power (kits from our local Canadian Tire). I hope at least one person is rocking a green set up. :-D
