    Re: Problems with humidity

Ok guys, let me start off by saying, I haven't read all the posts in this forum yet, but I have a question, I have a screen top tank, (had two bp in it for 7 years) and recently bought a reptifogger, I have it on the lowest mode, and a plug in timer, set to turn on every 30 min. BUT....everytime it turns on, after running for just 5 min, their home is completely under a fog. What does anyone suggest??

Set up is a 125 watt red heat bulb, 75 basking lamp, uth, plastic sterlite hide box, half log hide from Petsmart, and ZooMed repti-carpet. and water bowl from petsmart. (would upload pics but I do not know how since i am a new user to this forum)

Basing my suggestions strictly from what I do, yes. I don't think ~30% humidity is anything to go crazy over and like mentioned I've had lower humidity without any problems (with perfect sheds). I would just mist when he's about to shed to help him out if he's had trouble shedding with the lower humidity for you before.

The first time he shed.for me his humidity was 60 normally and i could get it to 70.but i didnt have the small heater then and only a 60 watt bulb, but it was a perfect shed even getting rid of retained caps, but i will take your advice and see how he does during his next shed
    thanks!
