Snake escapes

I'll admit that my housing isn't perfect right now. I packed up my reptiles and temporarily moved them to NH. They are still in appropriate sized tubs with proper temperature and humidity, but the gap between the lid and top of the shelf is larger than my temporary rack than my rack back in Wisconsin. As a result I have been making changes as I go trying to find ways to keep them in for sure. What I have noticed is that only certain snakes seem dead set on escaping. My male pastel ph ghost and my male hypo jungle boa have both gotten out more than once (one of my bees got out once but that's it). It shouldn't happen again with the latest change (there is now a piece of thin Styrofoam between the lid and the shelf), but I find it odd that it was just them who kept escaping when everyone else had similar caging.

Has anyone else noticed that only certain snakes seem to want to escape? Maybe I'm the only one who hasn't been able to completely fix caging issues the first time.

Well not exactly but my female cinny is the only snake i have who insist on tipping her water dish. I even had an untippable one in the tub with her and she plopped her whole body in it to overflow the water out. Im just convinced she likes her tub a bit more damp lol. I know its not bc she wants to come out bc she doesnt really like being handled that much lol.

U know I honestly thought just my female cinni likes her tub like a swamp and doesn't like to be handled...As for snake escapes I haven experienced that yet ( bang on wood) but I'm sure if anyone get out it will be my super pastel as he is always moving around his tub and he occasionally re decorates and moves his water bowl and hide around

I had to secure my new tank with eight cage clips to keep my escape artist inside. In his last tank I only had three, with two lamps on top and I woke up to a loud banging noise to find him hanging half-out of the tank with a look of clear "What?" on his face....

My little normal boy Leonidas is my escape artist. I sometimes watch him try to find a way out at night. He likes to push his head against the lid in different spots trying to find a weakness. Since his first escape I've added extra weight on top of his lid so escape for him is impossible. None of my other balls even try to leave. Though, my other het albino boy Hannibal does like to go on little adventures when I take him out, usually ending with him hiding inside of the couch between the cushions.

My BP has this kind of personality where if he finds something out he will constantly do something about it for example:
when he first escaped through the one spot, about every night for 2 weeks he would go to that spot for hours.

Then he found out how to get under the paper towels now that's all he does lmao.
