Do you have BPs that don't fit into your breeding plans?

I found a sweet looking BP combo morph, and I REALLY love his look! The price is also very appealing, but that's seriously just a bonus! If he were a SHE, I would have picked up her already, but HE is definitely a HE.. I want to pick him up even though I don't plan to pair him with anyone... he's not a $1000 snake or anything, but he sure looks like one ...

I might find a mate for him in the future, but for now, I think I'm going to pick him up because I like him .

Has anyone else purchased a morph or combo mutant that you had no specific plans for, other than to drool over?

honestly I bought my calico on a complete whim. I know its not exactly a cheap morph for impulse buying but now I have a lot I want to do with the calico gene!

I picked up a male het red axanthic, only because he looks great. I do not, or had any plans. However, someone local is selling a female lesser het red axanthic, sooooo if I can only come up with the $500 for it (1930 grams too). I'm on paternal leave, so money is tight. Plus, I woke to my kitchen floor under water, and my basement ceiling tiles soggy and on the floor :-(

I got a male mojave and a male cinnamon I don't plan on ever breeding. I traded for the cinnamon and the mojave was $50 so they will remain with me their entire lives as just pets.

I have a spider male and albino male that are not part of my breeding plans.

The albino I bought for my sister (I take care of it, she hangs out with him).

The spider I bought because I love spiders, and planned to produce spinners (one of my favorite morph foundations). Since then, I've changed my plan and I strive to produce more rare combos to hopefully stumble onto something new .

This new morph costs less than the albino I bought a few years ago, but he was just so cool looking . I'll post pics once he gets here. Or I'll keep his identity a secret in case I do breed him .

I bought my male OG because my boyfriend wanted a male snake so he could name him Mark Snakechize (barf @ Jets), so I found my male OG and fell in love. I don't have any *known* ghost hets, so he really doesn't fit into my breeding. Although, my buddy told me that TWO of my snakes (that I got from him) may POSSIBLY be het for ghost because of all his ghost work, so maybe I'll try pairing him up and see if I get any ghost worms
