My point still stands.
I think the majority of people here would rather have the same question asked time after time again, than have someone post that their snake died from a common, but easily fixed mistake. As many of my professors have told me over the years, "There's no such thing as a stupid question, ask it because someone else might be wondering the same thing."

But the reason why I use italics has already been stated, if I wanted to change it I would have.
But it's not a different style of writing... it's intended for grammar use. You're using it improperly. (how is that any different than someone not using a search engine properly? )

Re: Idk which one it is,...
There's really no reason to exaggerate the situation and take it out of context. When and where did I say not to ask any questions or even that they were stupid questions? Once again go back to my original post within the first two sentences where I said "I get tired of seeing the same questions asked over and over with the same responses back to back, especially for basic info". Forums and websites have stickies and FAQ sections for a reason but what's the point if people don't take the time to find and read it before asking. Other than for those who actually do and will.
There's nothing wrong with finding the answer to your own question, just means that you now know the answer and don't have to ask or just want to verify it. Because if it's on this site or another then it must be true right, likely for some info but not always.
Sometimes peoples guilty conscience thinks the talk is about them, so when the shoe fits,... they run with it.

Right about there. By accusing people of not being able to find 'basic information' when they 'should know how to operate a search function' is not directly calling someone stupid or saying their questions are stupid, but you are mocking them and openly critiquing how they navigate a website, how they operate within that website and you are judging their abilities or lackthereof by openly complaining about it. No, you did not call them stupid or say they had stupid questions, but if I were to be critiqued for asking a question, you can bet that I understand just fine that you think less of me because of my actions. And that is a negative response to someone who is trying to do the right thing and find answers.
You said above that:

So where do you propose people look for their information? This is what I don't get. People critique members for following a caresheet that has incorrect data. But if they come here and post, asking about 'basic information', you tell them you are tired of answering the same questions over and over.
So, where should they go? Should they spend hours upon hours of reading the internet, every article, multiple forums and multiple people to compare information and try and deduce which would be best? What if someone has a full time job, drives two hours every day to go to work and only has about 30 minutes of free time a night, which includes taking care of their animals? Like me? Am I supposed to spend hours upon hours trying to compare information, when I can go to this forum, post my situation and problem and get a more immediate response to a potential problem? Or would you rather I wait several days to try and figure out if my Ball has scale rot or a burn and compare websites that state different ways to treat it? What if I don't know if it requires a vet or not?
There are no stupid answers. Only judgmental people that forget there are people behind the screen, and that we don't know their stories. You have every right to complain, and I have every right to defend people's questions. We encourage people to take good care of their pets. So why would we turn them away and make them afraid to ask questions with threads like these?
We shouldn't be turning people away for asking 'basic questions'. Threads like these serve no purpose, other than to complain about people and their behavior, which isn't fair. Not everyone has experience, in reptiles or technology. And if that bothers you, then perhaps public forums are just too stressful for you, what with all the new members we're trying to get involved in the hobby and turn into a positive thing

Haha, love the sarcasm alert sign. I needed that on one of my responses here, because it was clearly missed.
Also, new people and their "duplicate questions" are part of what keeps this forum so active with new stuff all the time.
