Wet substrate for hatchlings?

Hi, I was just wondering if it is ok if the paper towel is wet for the hatchlings that have not had their first shed. Thanks!

I have seen some people do this (Ralph Davis comes to mind). I don't see any reason why you couldn't.

I always keep them on wet paper towel til they shed. It seems to work fine...

Not only is it ok it's what you should do to help them have an easier time with their first shed.

Hatchling should be kept on moist paper towel until their first shed.

I use moist paper towels

gonna join in an say i use moist paper towels for the babies for there first shed. after they shed i use dry paper towel for them

It should be wet. That's really the only thing I would use in a tub for fresh hatchlings. It stays wet and it's clean.
