Assistance with removing Slug attached to Good egg !
Long story short came home from work on Thursday and was in a rush because Wife had an ultrasound appt (Yes ! its the wifes fault lol). Now I got 4 good eggs and 2 slugs from a Pastel het pied x pied. My problem is the one slug is stuck to a good egg, in the rush I was in i just put them all in the incubator (4 eggs and the 1 attached slug). Now im not sure how to get it off. I tried to pull it at first but i didnt want to run the risk of ruining the good egg. And wow this is my first post on here in a while hope no one hold that against me from lending a hand lol

I've heard gently working dental floss between them works pretty well? (But I'm still so worried about ruining the good egg. How big a risk is an attached slug?)

It should be ok just keep your eye out for mold. If it starts to mold then you may have some problems. I tried incubating slugs before and left them in for 60 days LOL. Nothing hatched but they never molded up either.

In the past I have just cut the slug off leaving just a little bit of the shell attached to the good egg. If that makes sense. Basically cut off the slug wipe the goo away and your good to go

Syringe out the insides of the slug,
When near enough empty, cut away all of slug except where attached.
Using kitchen roll, dry the attached slug shell remains.
Dab on a little athletes foot powder to stop bacterial growth.

Just leave it be. It will not affect any other eggs attached to it.
