Should I switch to a substrate that holds moisture better, such as coconut husk? Add some sphagnum moss?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Forget about ambient humidity - it can hard to keep it in the wheelhouse without courting a host of bacterial and mold issues. Throw in a soggy substrate with some damp towels, and a lack of proper airflow and next thing you'll be asking how to treat a RI.

Instead, create and maintain a humid microclimate, as in a humid hide.
