    male or female

Would you rather have a double or triple gene male, or a double or triple gene female. I know females are higher priced because they can give you eggs but i feel like I would rather keep a double or triple gene male over a female because I can breed him to more than one female per breeding season. I could have a triple gene male and breed him to three different single gene females and have a higher chance of coming out with a four gene snake (all co-dom or dom of course). Or am I thinking about this the wrong way?

I agree 100% I would rather have a male 2/3 gene, over a female but only in Dom and co Dom. If it is resesive I would rather a female so I could breed the offspring back to her quicker instead over having to raise up some 100% hets for 3 years before dad could breed to them.

that is a good way to look at it for recessives especially since I am looking to get into them in the future.

    thank you,

    Nope your thinking right.
I currently have a triple gene male and he's going to be my main breeder.
For now i only have a few single gene females of breeding size but once i can afford it I'll be converting to double gene females in the future.
    You're 100% correct IMO

I would rather have a multi gene male. With a recessive project you can breed back to the dam. The male will be ready quicker so you can get whatever project your aiming for quicker not to mention you can breed a male to several females. If your only going to own a couple several gene animals why lock thoes genetics to one clutch
