I paid $375 for her. Looking back, I should have bargained a little more, because of how young she is.

Imports from Africa are most commonly shipped to the US market straight out of the egg, aren't they?
I prefer to sell mine well-started, because I've seen so many starving little ball pythons at pet stores that I don't think have EVER eaten. And maybe never will. But I got an import hypo from Outback that was shockingly undersized and now eats like a hog. I think this bee is pretty likely to make it with proper husbandry.
I don't have a proper hatchling rack, so I didn't do the tub with damp paper towel thing for more than a couple days for my first clutch. I put them in a 10 gallon tank with the usual set up, and I'd pour just a little water on the bedding every couple days until they shed. They splashed around in the water bowl a lot, but otherwise acted pretty normal (hiding all day, climbing around at night.) When I saw they were going blue, I put a damp (but not dripping) washcloth on their hide.
The big deal is getting that first meal into a hatchling. I wait a couple days after the first shed, then I start offering live hopper mice. I'll do that every 5-7 days. If a hatchling hasn't eaten after 8 weeks, I take them to the vet.
The bee has probably already been handled a bit. My super mojave and my piebald male were both super-friendly and not head-shy, and I think that's because the breeder was showing them off to every single person who came in the door. Don't bother her more than once a day, but don't worry about it too much, either. If she's not acting stressed, she's probably not stressed.

Seems like a pretty good price for a female, especially such a pretty little girl. aren't they usually more then 400+ for a bumblebee girl? I don't know too much about snake pricing though XD
You said you got her from HGI Reptiles, are you sure it wasn't HDI reptiles? I'm just asking because my cinnamon is from HDI reptiles and has the same container as the one you took home, plus if anything happens it would suck if you had the name off and couldn't contact them. They also had some eggs just starting to hatch that they occasional took out to show people and made their own display cases. They where really nice, they had the cinnamon I bought marked $100 less then it was supposed to be and let me buy him for the mis-marked price(which I hadn't realized until after, I guess that's why the guy seemed a little confused when I only gave him 125 instead of 225 lol)
here's the container my cinnamon came on, the top is off in the pic

This was a one of their display cases

Re: Newborn hatchlings?
But it's a deli cup with a little bit of aspen on the bottom lol , and the name of the breeder was only one letter off and when I tried to find them online nothing came up. But yeah, they are pretty common. I felt bad for some of the snakes stuffed in deli cups as a display rather then the breeder putting them in the cup when they are bought.

I, personally, would never sell any babies out of the egg. And I most likely wouldn't buy one either, even though I have plenty of experience with hatchlings.
There's a guy on Baltimore's CL selling pieds right out of the egg
I really hope that things go smoothly for you and your new girl.

Yeah, I've talked to him before. He also advertises on fauna classifieds. I haven't had an issue with purchasing hatchlings. I usually get them after the umbilical falls off/ before the first shed. Since I have experience with hatchlings, I consider it a great investment. I picked up a clutch last month of 1.1 lemonblast, 2.0 pastels and 1.1 pinstripes for 460 shipped. Got them all well started now. I consider that a risk I am willing to take. Just my two cents
Everyone goes through the workweek wishing the days go by, but wishing the years didn't. Strange huh?
Now number 2, practiced the snake style. He was known as the snake spirit. He had the speed of a snake.....
