Update on my 'Orange Thing' project

Well the male I hatched out last year is gorgeous if I do say so myself

    Outside pics

Inside, I will be breeding him to his mom this winter, wish me luck!

This was him almost a year ago

As for the clutch this year from the same pairing he came from...I was a little bummed I didn't get any orange things. I only had three eggs make it, the 4th had really weak veins and it died halfway through.

This was the clutch before they shed

Now that they have all shed I'm starting to wonder about the pastel, she seems awfully orange for a pastel...

Pastel and (orangey) Pastel, these girls are half sisters, same pastel dad, different normal moms.

I don't know what to think yet. The pastel is different, but I guess we'll see how she looks after a few more sheds. I am really happy with how my male has turned out, he's almost a year old now!

Thank you! There won't be a super I'm afraid It will be recessive if it is genetic, the mom is neat but she doesn't have any oranges. But I did have a reason breed them, I just didn't know if anything cool would come out or not.

I thought about you when I was making the thread! You were one of the few that had faith in him staying orange!

Thank you! I can't figure out if that pastel looks orange because I want it to look orange or if it really does. I guess we'll see! I am really excited about breeding him back to mom though!
