    Idk which one it is,...

Probably a bit of both,.. but are people getting lazier or are we just consistently exposed to more lazy people through the internet? I get tired of seeing the same questions asked over and over with the same responses back to back, especially for basic info.

If you have the same exact question as someone else, what makes people think that their answer will be any different than the previous person. Who asked five or ten minutes ago, one or two threads below or above theirs.
These days with the internet you can find info on just about any and everything out there without leaving your home. But some people are still too lazy to do their own research. They'd rather ask a question and sit back with their mouth open being spoon fed the info. Unfortunately it's reality off the net as well.

But if that info contradicts what they heard, were told, may already know or even want to hear (true, sound, knowledgeable info) they get hot as K9 peppa (as my momma would say ). All of a sudden you're wrong, don't know what you're talking about or hating on someone,... Really?!

More often than not when I was younger and had a question, my parents (or who I asked) would answer it. But sometimes they told me to look it up, and come tell them what I found. Whether they knew the answer to the question or not. I didn't always like it, but it helped me in the long run. I was more likely to remember the info since I actually put in time and effort to find the answer, more so than just someone telling me. Which taught me that I can't and shouldn't always trust what people say, let alone what's written some where.

Until this day I rarely take someone's word for face value with out doing my own research and having my own info to verify and back it up. Yeah we all have different opinions and ways of doing things, but that's when research and checking your sources should come into play. Along with keeping an open mind and taking in that info for what it is whether you like it, or not.

Like others I also enjoy chatting about common interests with others. But sometimes there are just too many wtf moments, let someone else answer it and why should I even bother. We all need a break sometimes, unfortunately on or off the net those breaks are few and far between.

My rant for the day or actually quite some time since I don't do it often.

Yes questions are repetitive especially at this time of the year when first owner get their very first snake, or first time breeder hatch their very first clutch, what you need to remember is that for the person who ask the question it is the first time that they ask.

Some people go look for answers some do not just like in real life the good news if that if you are tired of answering the same question over and over again all you have to do is leave it to someone else.

No one forces you to answer question over and over again

I know I have options and I don't have to answer the questions but we're all here to help right, so at times I do. That doesn't change the fact that some of the answers don't or haven't changed, they're the same across the board and are easy to find. Google, Bing or what ever just about ever site has a search engine to help out. It may take time to find it, but it's there. In some cases it takes just about as much time to find the answer as it does to post the question and get a response. But why actually look when you can ask and wait,.. too much effort for some, maybe.

This is in general, not just bps.

Lol I'm sure some people would be and are offended by it whether it applies to them or not, but it is what it is.

I could Google, or Bing, or search whatever... But at the end of the day, I'd rather hear feedback from numerous people rather than trust a care sheet or article.

    Why?

If I went and did my own research, and it was wrong, I'd come here to clarify.

When I come here and admit a mistake, everyone would jump on me for making a 'stupid' mistake and 'trusting a caresheet from the internet'. When I should have been 'properly researching'.

Yet if I were to post here with questions you've already answered (but I'm trying to clarify), you get bothered by that too.

Which would you prefer? Trial and error from someone new to the hobby, who might be scared to trust information from posted pages on various websites? Or someone coming here to get more direct, experienced responses, as well as more current information?

No matter what they do, it's wrong. And as a newer member of the hobby, yes, we know it's frustrating to ask questions all the time. But I'd rather you get mad at me for asking questions than get mad at me for pretending I know what I'm talking about and give my snake a belly burn that kills it.

im getting tired of threads like this ranting about how people ask the same questions similar to the mods an people when i go on my off topic tangents. If you dont like it dont read it an dont answer. You complaining about it isnt going to change people asking the same questions over an over. Some people arnt computer savy an dont kno there way around the web that well or simply dont search for it or need to be reasured that this is the correct way to do something. Either way it is what it is. Its something you have to deal with on the web.

Also, as well as not being computer savvy, if its your first forum, you may have no idea how they work. I didn't, this is my very first forum ever. Yes it can get tiresome answering the same question over and over. Just don't answer, move on to a different thread. Plenty of people will answer. There are loads of extremely patient people here, who will repeatedly offer up their advice.
