What is the best heat mat?
Hey guys, I decided that I will grab a heat mat instead of these humidity killing lamps in my BP tank. What is the best brand/size for a 20g long tank?

Re: What is the best heat mat?
You will need a T-Stat to achieve proper temps and avoid over heating regardless of the UTH brand, those can and will reach 115/120 degrees (I know what the manufacturer says however in a hot room they can get hot)

Yes definitely a thermostat and be careful attaching the probe. My snake decided to remove the thermostat probe from the UTH last night and when I noticed it this morning the damn thing was almost 150 degrees. At least he was smart enough not to lay on it. I need to do something different for the probe, maybe just need to remove the glue and re-glue it from time to time. That stuff gets brittle after 8 months of being heated to 95 degrees constantly.

Forgot to mention that this UTH won't help your ambient temps so if the room is not 80+ your gonna need to do something about that.
