Room temp is fine for the cool end. Mine have a 83-84 hot spot. You shouldn't have to worry about humidity. Maybe mist a little bit when they are in shed. Mine are at 50%. A 20 gallon long is big enough for an adult. People use 32 quart or even 28 quart tubs. I use 41 quart. And is there a chance they were overfeeding it? It looks a little too plump. But I'm not experienced enough to say. Hope this helps!

I thought he looked plump too! We were told they thought his owner was feeding 2 mice/week but of course we aren't sure. There are some times when he's wrapped around something and you can see the skin between his scales.
Yes, he does look overweight. Fat colubrids are not happy colubrids! Nor do they live as long as they should. I've seen a lot of posts on other forums of owners devastated from their snakes dying at 6 or 7 years old, only to post pictures of a corn snake that has developed hips from being so fat. They should be streamlined animals.
