While I don't like the fact that these people felt they needed curse words to try to get their point across, I'm going to have to play devil's advocate here.

There HAVE been cases where the snake eats the paper towel, either because it got caught up with the prey, or "juices" got on the towel and the snake ate it later thinking it was food. They've also eaten cloth towels and, although I couldn't confirm this one, a heating pad that was in the cage. O_o

The snakes in question either pass it, regurge it, or die.
