Fair trade?
Hey guys,
I have a trade setup. I'm going to trade 2 proven breeder females, het genetic stripe. I am trading them for a hatchling female enchi and hatchling pastel het hypo. I have never seen proven female het genetic stripes available so I have no clue if it's a fair trade.

I'd say based on price alone it is fair. But a breeder female is so much more valuable than a hatchling. If you aren't going to work with the genetic stripe gene then obviously the trade would be in your favor.
Are you looking to make some honey bees with that spider het hypo?

Lets see. Genetic stripe females go for around $400. Males go for around $300. Those prices are close enough to the albino prices. I've seen breeder het albinos advertised for $600 - 800.
Enchi female (HEAVILY depending on quality) can go from $400 - $600. They can be worth more (IMO), but I haven't seen any advertised for more than $600. I have no idea what the price on a pastel het hypo is....
You have TWO females het genetic stripe that I would say are worth around the same AREA as the het albino breeder females (probably a little less). If we said that for a deal, you let your 2 het g stripes go for $500 each, that'd be $1000. Lets say the enchi is $550.. Anybody have any recent prices on pastel het hypo females?

Not much probably 300 tops for a pastel het ghost female. I would keep your proven breeders but thats just me they have much more potential than hatchlings. If anything maybe trade your genetic stripe for a dom het gen stripe male idk up to you though i would say your at a small loss. If anything produce some gstripes with what you have and trade/sell for a larger enchi female if you can find one after this upcoming season.

The pastel het hypo is $175 the enchi is $600. I already have a pastel het hypo lay this season, yes I'm hoping for some honey bee's better yet humble bee's. I love the hypo gene and figure I can't go wrong with another pastel het. Plus enchi's are great for any collection, she will have a date with my calico when shes of size.

And on a side note both laid 7 egg's this season, they were paired to a genetic stripe male.

i would say do it, just because you said they laid 7 eggs each so chances are you will get 2 female g-stripes that you can raise up as new breeders.

I would say keep them, sell the babies and buy some Enchis. Breeder recessives are worth so much more than babies, especially co-doms. There will be more Enchis for sale this season and I bet we start seeing a drop again. Just my opinion.
