Tips on reducing humidity please!

That's strange. I'm in WA and our humidty is about 30-35%. My hogs need dry so I literally put 1/8" in their tiny water bowls and I have a ton of holes in their tubs. How are you measuring humidity? My ambient is lower than that in a sealed reptile room with 45+ snakes.

BTW, I use a small ceramic heater for stabilizing temps at 80 in the room. I use the baseboard in case of major temp drops and I have an oscillting cylinder fan on constantly. BP tubs hold about 55-60% and the hogs are just slightly above 30-35% which is right above the room humidity.

Its my crapy apartment. To make matters worse the room is right next to the bathroom and the fan does diddly-squat. I also keep a large amount of orchids. The KSBs rack is right there in humidity as the BPs. I will reduce the water a lot (that should help some).

I'm using and acu-rite thermometer/hydrometer http://www.amazon.com/Acu-Rite-00325...te+thermometer I'm sure its not the best but if its in the ballpark than its too high.

My whole upstairs is about 62%. I'm going to do some shuffling and try having the tarantulas and CHE on top of the KSBs instead of my Dum's setup. Maybe it'll help. We're going to resume house shopping when the hubby is back from deployment!!!
