Worst:
Got a bit too inebriated once when I was 17, passed out standing and fell face first onto tile. Gave myself a wicked concussion and split the length of my left eyebrow completely open. I just remember feeling like I had been hit really hard and being on the ground with the person I was with going "Omg Nicole, Nicole, are you okay?!!" I was so confused and then I saw blood start pouring onto the floor. It was freaking scary! I've never passed out before or since from anything so I'm not really sure what happened.
Got stitches and now I miraculously don't even have a scar unless you actually brush my lil eyebrow hairs to the side and really look for it.
Almost worst:
When I was around 10 when I was just starting to develop myopia (nearsightedness) and had terrible night-vision I ran after my younger brother into a field. Apparently the field had barbed wire strung up at just the right level that he ran right under it but it smacked me across the face at eye level. I turned around all confused, not knowing what hit me and saw my mom freak out and then blood started obscuring my vision. Also freaking scary.
It punctured literal centimeters from both of my eyes on either side so I got crazy lucky. It healed fine and didn't cause any permanent damage. I have very very faint scars right at the corners of both eyes but you wouldn't notice if you didn't know that had happened.
So yea, thanks, guardian angel!
