soaking the cut in a diluted betadine solution will disinfect the wound. (betadine can be purchased over the counter at any drug store)

Do not use any creams like Neosporin as they can actually damage the scales.

So no aspen while it's healing, right?
I have some epsom salt, would that work?

How small? Is it bleeding? If its just a small cut then I would lightly wash it with water and put a small (SMALL) dab of neosporin on it. Then put him to bed and leave him be. Thats a full day for quiet BPs!

I've always been told that neosporin was ok. Is there something else we can use?

he was bleeding when he first came out, but it was only a small amount and it stopped within a minute or so.
as for the neosporin, I've always used it for my mammals but I'm glad I didn't decide to jump the gun and use it on him.
