Het. Albino or not? What do you guys think?
My very first female that I ever bought was a Het. Albino. I bought it from a breeder that I did not know or even remember(rookie mistake)at an Expo. She finally went for me this year and laid 9 eggs. All the babies were Hets(bred to my Albino male). Would you consider Mom a Normal or should I try again before writing her off? I just find it really strange that I did not get at least one Albino out of 9 eggs! Am I that unlucky? LOL! Let me know what you guys think?

Sounds like it probably is not a het but theres a very small chance that you got crapped on by the odds gods. Not sure I would try that pairing again unless you feel like maybe your luck was just terrible and you want to. It happens but I have only heard of it once. If it were het to het then I would say try again. Its entirely up to you though...

I would give it another try. Sometimes odds are just horrible. Years ago I had 3 pairings of pastel to spider which hatched 17 eggs hatch and got only 1 bumble bee. I also got 9 normals which are the same odds as hitting the bumble bee, go figure

Wow if she is het those are some horrible odds! Honestly I would breed her again if you had the space/time/etc... You can always breed your albino to her as well another few females. At worst you come out with 100% hets, really can't be to bad, but wouldn't count on her being het. If you are looking to breed albinos pick up another female het from a reputable breeder, they are pretty cheap.

Re: Het. Albino or not? What do you guys think?
I would personally (if you have the space) keep one female from the clutch since she is 100% het and grow her up, keep the "het" you have and try again next season by the time those eggs hatch your 100% het wont be far from breeding. Gives you a chance to make sure the odds gods didn't smite you and gives you a 50% chance of albinos once your het girl is of size
1.0 Pastave YellowBelly
1.0 Pastel
1.0 Enchi
0.1 Pied
0.1 Pinstripe possible dh albino og
0.1 Specter
0.1 Butter
0.1 Chocolate
0.1 Black Pastel Het Orange Ghost
0.1 YellowBelly Sub Saharan Giant
0.1 Mojave
0.1 Pastel ph Caramel Albino
1.0 Coastal x Diamond Carpet Python

Ah! Don't tell me that! I got some Spider X Pastel eggs due in about 10 days! LOL! It's another 9 egg clutch! I had a Spider X Normal clutch of 4 eggs last year and got all Normals!!! I guess we both to offer the Ball Gods a gift to help our odds!

I'd hang onto her at least another year/breeding. Sometimes the odds just aren't there, unfortunately. You could always add another het female if you have the space; they're pretty cheap, even for one close to breeding age/weight. Keep your current girl, raise another het female up for a year while you wait on breeding season to roll around and give the new one a try along with your current girl in that same season. Even a 100% het to a visual only results in a 50% probability per egg of hatching out a visual animal...aren't recessives fuuuuuuuun?! It all comes down to how much time/energy you want to invest in trying to prove her out. You could try her another year or two and pick up a visual female in the meantime to raise up, depending on what your finances are. Good luck!

She could still be a het, I would give her another chance or two before writing her off.

Definitely try one more time. I got 7 normals from a spiderxnormal pairing this year.
