    Switching from live to F/T

Is it even possible? I have 1.0 albino and 0.1 het albino who's DOB is 8/2011...they're roughly 220-250 grams. Seem pretty small, but they eat mice hoppers right now(i just got them last week btw) anyways, I don't exactly have a reliable source for food, and was wondering if anyone thought it was possible to switch from live to f/t? any tips?? thanks.

Some will be easier than others. I can usually tell how easy they will switch over depending on their feeding response with live.

I agree. I find the really aggressive live feeders are typically pretty easy to switch over.

Both my BP and GTP were fed live. When I got them I switched them to f/t with no problems. They took right to them.

Both are great threads for switching over, they hit VERY key points. GL on the switch.

Re: Switching from live to F/T

Very possible but I think your first order of business should be to get them off of the mouse hoppers and onto Rat pups. Than try and make the switch to FT. Mouse Hoppers are way too small. I know it's not your fault - you just got them, but that should be at the top of your to-do list..

I have switched all of my live eaters (except one) from LIVE ASF to FT Norwway.. It's very possible.

    Goodluck!

    Chris.

Thanks for all the replies, you guys have me confident.

Chris, the hoppers are definitely too small, i've only fed them once but i knew as soon as they gobbled the hoppers down that they were way too big for that. my problem is finding live food :-/ the pet store nearby doesn't carry rat pups. I guess he orderes all of his feeders and doesn't do any breeding himself. I will probably have to make a little bit of an adventure to grab some rat pups, and hopefully not too long after that, they'll be eating f/t. again thanks for all of your help guys.
