I'm just learning about mystics; reason I'm even putting this up is I have just seen so many threads lately (one here, one on RC) regarding mystics. Some people swear that a split eye (light on top, dark on bottom) means it's a mystic.

However, I'm having an impossible time to actually find any closeup shots of mystic eyes, or just plain mystics for that matter. And then take into account the fact that certain cameras can wash out the colors and people have different monitor calibrations, etc. It's not possible to get a 100% accurate representation of what a snake looks like in real life.

Though the newest photos of the freshly shed baby are as accurate as I could possibly get.

Another person said you can tell a mystic by their bellies, but did not yet elaborate. What does a mystic belly look like??

I remember I commented on a facebook photo saying I think that mystics, phantoms, and mojos are very similar. Someone replied "they look NOTHING alike....." I have an evil sourpuss grin whenever I see people struggle with this . Sorry squamish ...>:]

My mojave female has a little bit of lightness on the top of her eyes and I am pretty sure that she is what she is... As far as mystics, mojos, and phantoms are concerned I cant see any serious differences and I have yet to see someone actually point out and photo document each trait that distinguishes the morphs and their differences....

Mom was a normal. Tried to breed the sire to our mojo female but she wasn't too interested. Maybe next year!

The belly scales (scutes) are 100% clear, if that helps. Cant remember whats going on where belly meets sides, though. I can take some pics later on tonight when I get home.
