Is it a morph? (Please forgive ignorance)

So, I picked up my first hoggie this weekend. Absolutely love the guy. One question I have is about the way his belly looks. The guy was sold as a 50% het anery. Now (I could be wrong), but I assumed this means that he's essentially a "normal". That is where my question comes in. Everything I can find says that normals have a dark black belly with checkerboarding. In the link below, you can see that my guy has a very light belly, but otherwise seems to be normal. Is this due to the het anery? I didn't think het made a difference, so if I'm wrong, I'll gladly take the education.

One other thing I thought was that maybe the belly was lightening before a shed, and in one of the pictures it LOOKS like his eye is cloudy. I can assure you that this isn't the case. That is just how it showed up in the picture.

    Thanks for checking him out.

Not a morph, but it does look like he's about to shed. His eyes look blue/cloudy, and his belly looks cloudy, but not like a morph. Somebody more familiar with hognose morphs may be able to tell you for sure though.

Well, the one thing I had stated was that the picture makes his eye look cloudy, but when you look at him normally, there is no sign of cloudiness yet. That added to my confusion.

The whole belly looks like its in shed. I think he is in shed too. But to me he looks just like my boyfriends hog nose. Nice little normal.

I'm A-OK with that. This is my favorite exotic animal purchase I've made

That is a normal hognose. It looks to be in shed and Hognose are not exotic. Congrats on your new addition!

I use that term loosely, and maybe should have put it in quotes. Coming from an area like I do, anything that isn't a dog or cat will get you looks like you are completely insane
