    Not Swallowing ?

So I bought this female pastel which weighs approximately 785g two months ago from an individual who claims that she is a great eater on rats. Since I've had her she has eaten twice, then off feed for a month. Now on two occasions she has killed her live prey and left it in the rack without consuming it. She displays a great and aggresive feeding response, but I'm confused on this eating behavior. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What are your conditions like? (ambient air temps, surface temps, substrate type, two hides?, etc.)

I know one of my animals went off feed for 9 months or so after I first purchased her. Stupid me, I had put her on newspaper substrate when the breeder had kept her on cypress. Read up on some of the threads on here, the light bulb clicked, I switched her back and within two weeks of making the change she went right back to eating on a 7 day rotation. How often are you feeding your girl and what size? Might be that the prey item is too large for her comfort or she could be stressed if you're offering her food to the point of stressing her out.
