*cough* weekly update is 4 days late *cough cough*

Heres how mine is looking along with some extras!

Heres a few shots of some lillies i planted earlier in spring, i love how they look!

Now here's a puzzler for you gardeners! Backstory: we have a huge butterfly bush in my yard thats been there for like 5-7 years. Its flowers are dark purple like this:

Now 2 years ago when my stepdad was trimming it back for the hell of it he took one of the big healthy branches and stuck it along the edge of the outside of the veggie garden like 15ft away. Well it took root and grew last year but didnt really bloom. Well this year its huge and bloomed alot. Now heres the puzzling thing: the blooms on it are MUCH lighter purple. Almost like a lavender instead of a dark purple. Heres one of the new bushes blooms:

Weird huh? Im wondering id it like cross pollinated with the pink lavender bush like 20feet away. Is that even possible lol? Either way i thought it was pretty wild! Hope everyones gardens are doing well!

Sorry for no update Mike, I've been so darn busy with work it slipped my mind. You garden is looking great. And for the plant being 2 different colors my guess would be the level of acidity in the soil is affecting the color.

This is the only recent pic of my garden

I have zukes galore, a bunch banana peppers as well. Corn is finally getting some ears. I've got 4 watermelon and 5 or 6 cantelope that will be ready to pic hopefully by the end of this week. My cayenne peppers are finally turning red. And my bell peppers are starting to grow as well. Cukes never turned out the few I picked were bitter. And squash is growing rather slowly only picked 3 or 4.

Nice! Its looking good. I wish it was hot enough here to grow peppers. We plant green peppers EVERY year bc i love them but outta like 8 plants we only ever end up with like maybe 4-5 decent sized peppers

And ya idk what it is but its cool. I feel like the soil 15 feet away would be about the same acidity but who knows lol.

Looking good man. I had to leave my garden when I came to my new FOB but the rest of my team is coming up here before too long and will be bringing it with them if they can. I hope it survives the journey!

Re: Finally got my garden in the ground!!!

That sucks. I could stand around all day with my nose stuffed in them, they are my favorite.
