Getting a tattoo in the future a good or bad thing?

I feel that colors will convey more meanings to the tattoos and give more of a feel for it. But, that's just me haha.

I feel the same way but the exact opposite. If an artist can put something onto my body with just black and greywash and get it to evoke just as much emotions as a color piece then that is much cooler, to me at least. There something about the details that go into all the shading and then whitening highlights that just does more for me than a color tattoo. But as i said i have both so im not hating on color tattoos lol.

I understand you completely! But, since I'm going with traditional Japanese tattoos, colors also tell another story too, a different color oni (example), is going to represent another thing.
