How big is your light tent?
I'm just wondering how big everyone's light tent is? I can't decide if I should make a 30 inch cube or a 24 inch cube. I want to be able to use it for adults bps and babies and my gtp as it gets bigger.
Thanks
Tom

I did 32 inches and it is way too big. I'd suggest doing one at 24.

Ok thanks guys, I thinking I might just buy a 24 inch cube light tent instead of building on, do when I travel I have it instead of carrying around a bunch of PVC pipe. Any suggestions on a good 24 in cube light tent that's is not crazy expensive. Looking for under $50
Thanks

This is the one I got, http://www.amazon.com/CowboyStudio-2...rds=light+tent
yea after I saw how cheap they were I said forget building one.... and I build just about everything lol. plus you gain the ability to fold it up nice a neat, which it was a puzzle figuring out how to fold it up for the first time, but once you get it, it's easy.

light stands, you're looking for something that will allow you to put the light bulb where you need it, those stand have all sorts of adjustments so they should work out good for you.

Ok here is a picture of my setup for taking pictures of snakes. The background will change, and sometimes Ill add another flash if I need it.
Its a plastic tub from walmart cut in half, kind of. With white or black poster board clamped to it. I have two 8ft westcott light stands. Then I have one section of cross bar from my background stand, sitting on top of two clamps that are clamped to the top of the 8 foot stands. That bar holds up a 32 inch 5 in 1 round reflector. I have the cover off it. So I can shoot through it. It softens the light pretty good. I do have a 43 inch umbrella but its kind of to big, Then I have a cheap light stand holding a cheap 50.00 flashpoint strobe from adorama. Its pretty close to the one in this link. I think mine is an older one. They have updated it a little. http://www.adorama.com/FPBF160.html
Its a decent little strobe for the money. The bracket to hold the umbrella is crap, but other than that not bad. and works great for this stuff. Then I have the tripod setup in front. I shoot tethered to the computer, so the images go right to the pc and into lightroom. I use a wireless trigger, the cheap ones off amazon yongnuo rf-603. And thats pretty much it. The lights are on in the room. But since im exposing for the flash, everything that is not as bright will be darker. Sometimes I will add an extra light if I need it. But for the most part this works pretty good for snake pictures.
