Anybody use Sani-chips with a Dumeril's Boa?
I have been using shredded aspen for my Dumeril's Boa. I just buy the high quality finely shredded Zoo-Med stuff since this is the only cage I use it in so buying in bulk makes no sense for me. I've also tried cypress mulch and really don't like that either. I've never tried sani-chips at all, so I would like to hear from anyone who uses the stuff (especially if you use it in your Dumeril's Boas cage)
I use paper based substrates in all of my other cages but since Dumeril's like to burrow paper doesn't work well (at least with mine)
Thanks.

I dont have a dum but i was using sani chips for awhile and really liked them. (Im only using newspaper right now bc ive been too lazy to put them into my new rack lol). They make spot cleaning really easy bc they absorb any liquids like cat litter, soak it up really well. I would only buy one 2.2cuft bag of them bc there is a TON of them packed into that bag. So if on the offchance you dislike them you wont be stuck with a crapload of them. Too bad you didnt live closer, i woulda gave ya some to try out.
EDIT: forgot to add the only CON- they can be slightly messy. As in when you get the dum out a few make chips may be stuck to him and fall on the floor. And when you put them into the cage for him you will get some on the floor lol. As long as you vaccuum once or twice a week its not a huge problem.

Vacuuming isn't an issue, I have to do that daily anyway to keep the dog hair at reasionable levels from my husky lol.
I'm probably going to get some and try it out.

Nice!
I got mine from Amazon. They were on sale and i got (2) 2.2cuft bags for $33 shipped. Pretty good deal for how much you get in the bag. I think your dum would love to burrow in them.

I use Sani-chips in all of my tubs, including my Dumerils. I love that it vacuums up alot easier than shredded aspen.
