    Getting A New BP!

    Hey guys!

I'm so unbelievably ecstatic right now that I just needed to share.

    So...back story....

The topic of more animals in my household has been a heated one from the get go. My fiance is NOT an animal lover...which she only admitted to me a few weeks ago....I was surprised. Both at the fact itself and that she had waited two years to tell me....you know, now that we're living together and engaged... Being that I want to be a Veterinarian, specializing in herps no less,...or at least in the veterinary medical field if that doesn't pan out, you'd think she would have known that I was not just your average animal (or reptile) lover. I also mentioned that a time or two...lol. She had a normal female BP when we met, and it was one of our bonding points. She also admitted a couple weeks ago that she only kept her around because I was so excited about that...WAY to be honest honey...Anyway, even though this bothers me somewhat, we had a serious discussion tonight...FINALLY about my desire for more animals. I essentially adopted her normal when we started dating. She was "co-parenting" with a friend and the snake was for status more than anything else I came to find out later. When I saw the snake being mistreated at the very beginning of our relationship (a four year old female who weighed maybe 700g, living in a pantry with no heat ), I took her immediately and started taking proper care of her. Should have been a warning perhaps, but I had the blinders on since she wasn't the one with custody of the animal at the time. Her ex informed me later of the lack of proper feeding.

At any rate, I took the Normal female in as a rescue, and she has since reached 1800g. She's so big and healthy now...I feel like a proud Momma. But, since she admitted she felt no attachment to the snake, we discussed selling her. A friend of mine has wanted a snake for 10 years and was willing to buy literally anything for the snake...so I offered her to her for $100.

The point of this post now...So, my fiance has decided to "let" me keep that money, since I've been caring for the snake for two years... and I am using it to get the Mojave I've been wanting for the longest time. I've been looking around for a couple days and have finally stumbled upon the perfect male '12 Mojo. He's a whopping 80g and I intend to contact the seller about him tomorrow. I am SOOOOOO excited! One step closer to producing my own BEL with one of my favorite morphs.

During this conversation, I also told her that I wanted more and she has always known that. So...she asked how many. I said lets start with 10...and after much grumbling and glaring...she agreed! This is AMAZING progress! Usually I get shut down in these discussions. So not only do I get the Mojo I want...I also have the okay to get more whenever I find the perfect animal! I am so happy you guys! And I knew only you guys would truly appreciate the enormity of this!

    Thanks for reading my blather.

Lol! For now... Once I hit 10...we'll see. But it's a step in the right direction! The only MUST HAVES for me are a Mojo, a Lesser, a BEL, a Pied, a male Albino Boa, a Suriname Boa, and one more open spot for whatever I deem a "must have" later on.

I know...realistically...my list of "want" is longer than 10 snakes. BUT, there is a difference between want and need. And I deem these snakes to be a necessity. I also don't want so many that I can't give them each attention every week. You know? They are pets before breeders for sure. And space plays a huge role. Once I get my rack though...she won't even know if I add more...>.> lol.

Oh! And I still can't begin to express my jealousy over the steal you got on your Pied, man...SO jealous. lol.

A Mojo (currently in the works...I got excited and contacted the seller tonight. ), a Lesser, a BEL, a Pied, a male Albino Boa, and a Suriname Boa...and maybe a male Hypo Jungle Boa. My normal male BP is no use for breeding...but he's my munchkin and I refuse to get rid of him. As annoying as he can be with his mouser antics.

I know how exciting this kind of revelation this is. When I told my boyfriend that I was getting a second and third snake he asked me,
David: So what are you going to do when you leave?
Me: What do you mean when I leave?
David: When you leave your moms house, what are you going to do with all of your snakes?
Me: OOOH! Haha, they're coming with me.
    David: ALL of them???
Me: Yes, silly, every last one of them.
After he met Perry he was in love with the idea of all the snakes. He is really excited about Draco, my second, and the cinny I'll be getting later. He is a proud snake daddy now and on the fourth we had a bunch of friends at my mothers house and HE was proudly showing them off and bragging like it had been his idea all along. oh well I'll take him anyways, the snakes know who their mommy is and that is what matters
    0.1 Normal- Perritas
    0.1 Cinny- Sura
    1.0 Normal- Draco
    1.0 AFT- Grimm
    1.0 Service Dog- Kelevra
    1.0.1 Blood Python- Sixx
