Wait a minute.
If a mystic had lighter top of the eye than the bottom than my Mojave that I purchased as a Mojave
Is a mystic.
Her eye has a beautiful light green/blueish along the top of her eye and the bottom half is much darker.

I've never heard that this is a determining factor....can anyone confirm/deny?

Does anyone have side by side pictures? I can take one and post it but will take a while. Both are about the same size and I can clearly see the difference in the ones I have..... even if my Mystic looks significantly different then some of the other pictures posted here already.
Edit: Oh well. I can't do this today. Mojave is in deep blue right now.

Lol, I know! That's why I checked my male mojave (that I posted all those pics of) because a long while back I noticed his eye was different than my mojave girl.
With the amount of people saying their mojaves have the split-eye, it seems like perhaps this is NOT a determining factor? Unless of course the snakes were all sold as mojaves before mystics were determined to be a separate morph? I'm having a hard time finding clear, concise information regarding mystics. And actually, any ball python morph for that matter. There's a lot of speculation, a lot of people that say "overall coloration" of a snake can be the determining factor weather or not it's a morph. But that doesn't take into account different camera settings, different lighting conditions, different monitor calibrations, etc. So in my eyes, it is impossible to say anything about a snakes "overall coloration" without seeing them side by side, IN REAL LIFE.

I read it over on Reptile's Canada the other day, which is what caused me to check out my male mojave. Both my mojo's are in shed right now too!! AS WELL AS all the babies I just hatchde. Talk about bad timing

Yeah I got my Mojave girl a couple years ago. And lighting makes no difference on her eyes.
Also she looks purple in real life.
And when I first got her,
A few members here asked if I was sure she was just a mojo.
I assured them she was sold by a reputable breeder to me as a Mojave.
But hey,
Mystic/Mojave what ever she is she's my baby and have a clutch in the bator right now that was a butter sire to her.
So let's see.
